About Us
I&R Nebraska (IRNe) is a collaborative group of organizations from across the state working to ensure that individuals have an easy means to search the entire state for health and human service agencies and programs serving their area, and find the help they need.
The IRNe partners maintain databases containing information on several
thousand agencies, programs, and services across the state. The database is updated on an ongoing basis. The project partners work to ensure that its information is current and updated. Each agency is contacted twice per year for updates.
The following is a list of database partners involved in this effort. Please click on the links below for more information about these agencies:
Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department
Panhandle Partnership for Health and Human Services
2-1-1 is funded by businesses, government agencies, and non-profit entities. These public-private partnerships vary by county. If you are interested in bringing 2-1-1 to your area, please contact jmoore@uwmidlands.org.
The University of Nebraska Public Policy Center provides administrative and technical support for I&R Nebraska. Technical support is provided by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
A grant from the Technology Opportunities Program, National Telecommunications and Information Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, provided partial funding for the February 11, 2005 release of the ne211.org Web site.
