How Does 2-1-1 Work?
If you're in one of the counties covered by the 2-1-1 service (see county list above),
just pick up your phone and dial 2-1-1. If you are outside the counties listed above
or are using a cell phone, you can reach the call center by dialing (402) 444-6666,
and we will do our best to serve you.
First, you'll hear a recorded welcome message. Spanish-speaking callers will be offered an option to hear the instructions in Spanish, but the main instructions continue in English.
If the call volume is high, you will have the option to leave a message or a number where we can call you back. You remain in queue, and your call will be returned promptly.
Your call is strictly confidential. While you will be asked for your name and other details, you are not required to disclose this to receive referrals. The calls are regularly monitored for quality assurance by a supervisor.
