HELP WITH CHOOSING CHILD CARE, including a database which lists all licensed child care centers, preschools, Child Development Homes registered with State and non-registered child care home providers. Referrals are customized to the familyÂ’s needs which may include, but is not limited to: the type of child care desired, location, days and hours care is needed, the childrenÂ’s ages, whether Child Care Assistance is accepted and the experience and educational level of the provider.
PARENT EDUCATION ON CHOOSING A CHILD CARE - the program provides both verbal and written parent education (including information on child care regulations and indicators of quality).
CHILD CARE PROVIDER TRAINING AND EDUCATION - works with child care providers to increase the quality of care provided through on site consultation, technical assistance and training. Anyone interested in opening a home based child care business can call for assistance. -
